PTA announces ban on Internet-enabled PN software in the country Users using virtual private networks must register by June 30

PTA VPN   ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has said that virtual private networks (VPNs) have been set up in the country to provide access to all kinds of content on the Internet. Users who use the software must register by June 30, otherwise they will not be able to use the facility.  Advertisements and notifications issued by PTA suggest Internet users to register a VPN with their Internet Service Provider by June 30. Users who do not register by June 30 will be able to register a VPN after the deadline. Will not be eligible to use any software.  According to PTA, till June 30, all users can register for VPN for free from internet service providers. In this regard, PTA has provided 2 forms to internet service providers.
