Prime Minister Imran Khan insists on giving Senate tickets on merit

  Prime Minister Imran Khan has called for giving Senate tickets on merit.  A meeting of the PTI Parliamentary Board was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister.  Sources said that the parliamentary board should submit its recommendations regarding the Senate elections to the Prime Minister.   Imran Khan said that this time Senate tickets should be given to long standing PTI workers, this time the tradition of giving tickets to capitalists and feudal lords would die down.  Sources said that in the recommendations, Shibli Faraz was recommended to be made a senator once again, while Abdul Hafeez Sheikh's name was shortlisted for technocrats.   The name of PTI coordinator Saifullah Niazi was also shortlisted and the name of Kamil Ali Agha from the coalition party was also shortlisted.  Sources said that the name of Dr Zarqa was also shortlisted among the women. No-confidence motion or long march: Which strategy of Pakistan Democratic Movement can create more difficulties for PTI?

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi meets Nawaz Sharif in London
