It may be recalled that Western used to manufacture Apple's iPhone at a plant in the Indian state of Karnataka, but the audit report had already come to light, prompting violent protests by employees there last week.
Apple says Western has failed to implement a system of proper working hours for employees, which has led to delays in paying salaries to employees there in October and November.
Western has admitted that some of its employees have not been paid properly and is removing the head of its business in India because of the situation.
