According to a statement issued by the Nadra spokesperson, Prime Minister Of Pakistan Imran Khan Inaugurated The Worlds First State-of-the-Art Technology Based Pak Identity App Developed In The IT Lab Of The National Database And Registration Authority.
After developing this app, Pakistan became the first country in the world to introduces technology, which will enable citizens to make Identity Cards at home with the help of smartphones.
According to Nadra, the latest technology will enable the acquisition of live biometrics (fingerprints) on mobile as well as verification in the id card making program.
The petitioner can not only take fingerprints with the help of camera of his smart mobile phone but will also be able to scan and upload the image and other documents.

Chairman Nadra Tariq Malik expressed hope that the facility of obtaining fingerprints through mobile is the beginning of a new era that can revolutionize many sectors of the economy.
Prime Minister Imran Khan lauded chairman Nadra Tariq Malik's modern idea of mobile app and said, "You have made Pakistan the first country in the world to complete the app production in a very short time and introduce this technology to Pakistan".
"All these efforts are an important step towards implementing prime minister Pakistan's digital Pakistan vision, the delivery of holiat will usher in a new era," the Chairman said in a tribute to Nadra's software engineers.

Tariq Malik further said that pakistanis abroad can also submit online applications for renewal or replacement of ID cards on the mobile app introduced by Nadra while citizens will also get this facility at one click.
Chairman Nadra said that all areas requiring biometric verification such as e-governance, e-commerce, various financial inclusion programmes such as realization programmes, successful youth programmes, etc., can take full advantage of the facility for which users can provide them with their identity information at home and complete all necessary action through biometric verification.
It should be noted that earlier, Nadra has provided a web facility for creating online ID cards, with the help of which thousands of people applied for id card, renewal and got id card sitting at home.
According to Nadra, the app will be linked to the Nadra https://id.nadra.gov.pk web portal. In addition, Android users can download the PAK IDENTITY app from the Google Play store.
