Pakistan's return to hosting the ICC Champions Trophy after 29 years ended in disappointment. The team couldn't secure a single win and finished at the bottom of Group A. Their final match against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi was abandoned due to rain, leaving both teams winless in the tournament.  The tournament began with a 60-run loss to New Zealand in Karachi.
