A special meeting of the Board of Governors of Cadet College Petaro was held at the Chief Minister's House, led by President Asif Ali Zardari. Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah was also present and thanked President Zardari for holding the meeting. "It’s a privilege for us to host a meeting of this prestigious institution," said the Chief Minister. The meeting was attended by MPA Dr. Sikandar Ali Shoro, Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, Principal Secretary Agha Wasif, Secretary Abdul Rahim Sheikh, and Finance Secretary Fayyaz Ahmed Jatoi. Other participants included Chairman Board of Governors and Commander Karachi Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, Secretary to the President Muhammad Shakeel Malik, Commodore Rashid Nazir, Captain Abdul Ghaffar, Air Commodore Atir Amir, and several others. Blocking Social Media Websites Not Recommended, PTA Announces Bigger

Islamabad (NNI) Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) denies reports by its chairman regarding the government's proposal to block social networking websites.  In a statement released on the website Twitter, the PTA said there was no authenticity in the media reports that said that the PTA had suggested blocking social media websites. Great Bajwa said abusive content on social media is a big issue, fake accounts are being run on social media, more websites are abroad.  Chairman PTA said that the government should make policy and block social networking websites like China and UAE, formulate government policy and create alternative social communication websites locally, otherwise P  Increase TA's technical capability.
