According to details, Google, the world's largest search engine, executed more than eight million downloadable adware applications (apps) and removed them from the Play Store. Google has recently removed 85 apps from the Play Store, with removable apps showing long-form ads that can't be removed from their users when they appear fullscreen. These applications were first identified by Trend Macro's security research team. The team found that the adware found in these apps can be detected when the user unlocks their smartphone. Most of the applications that were deleted were found in the Play Store's Gaming and Photography categories. After the phone is unlocked, fullscreen ads start running that can't be turned off.
