Facebook Messenger introduces several new features on complete its 10 years

Facebook's first messaging app turned 10 and on this occasion the company has added a few new features and updates to Messenger.

On this occasion, birthday versions of several existing features of Messenger have been introduced like Birthday Sound Moji, AR Ephactus, Stickers, Chat Themes and other ephactas etc.

Users will now be able to send cash to their friends as a birthday gift with the help of Facebook Pay and a few animations have also been added to the payment service

A new type of minigame 'Pool Games' has also been made part of the chats in the messaging app.

This feature will enable light pools to be held in group chats of friends.

All new birthday ephactas, pool games and birthday gates have been introduced while a feature called Word Eficts will also be introduced by the company soon.

This feature will allow users to attach an emoji to a specific word or sentence.

These updates also show the extent to which the Messenger app has changed over a decade.

The app, which was introduced in 2011, was first a common chat app, but then added inte features that the company itself had to redesign 3 times in the last 2 years.

Now That Messenger is being promoted by Facebook with its other services, Instagram Direct Messages has been linked to Messenger while it will be done with WhatsApp in the near future.

But, so far, Messenger has not been decrypted by default and to end.

According to the company, the process is moving slowly due to a plethora of features in the app.

"We have to redesign all features to make them part of an end-to-end encrypted environment," the company said.
